Nicely atmospheric track from this San Francisco band's well-received but largely-forgotten 1984 debut, In a Chamber (a pretty atmospheric album generally). It's one of the album's darker moments but its short length keeps it from being too much of a downer.
Always loved the instrumental interlude that starts at around one and a half minutes in.

Wow. My favorite track from that (excellent) record. I saw them open for Big Country in early-1984 (first concert I ever attended), so there's a special place in my heart for the early Wire Train stuff. Extremely nice pick!
Yes, probably my favourite on the album, too. Re-reading I think I might not have made clear what a treasure it is - I hope my description of it as "dark" doesn't put people off listening to it!
Never had the pleasure of seeing them live, I'm sorry to say.
